According to the SCH Chairman, the strategic national plan addresses chronic diseases and diabetes, and the economic and health impacts associated with diabetes rates and complications. The fourth edition of the conference will address the latest results in diabetes treatment, including smart insulin pumps that measure the level of diabetes in the blood and pump the necessary doses of insulin to control diabetes rates in the body, he added.

The conference will also focus on the latest global recommendations for the treatment of thyroid cancer, one of the most common cancers in the Gulf Cooperation Council countries, as well as the most recent methods for diagnosing and treating endocrine tumors as well as osteoporosis treatments.
